Mumbai Police launched an extensive manhunt, deploying 20 teams to apprehend the suspect. CCTV footage from the building captured the assailant, a man in his late 30s or early 40s, wearing a brown collared T-shirt and a red scarf, descending the stairs from the sixth floor at approximately 2:33 AM. The suspect was later seen near Bandra railway station, leading authorities to extend their search to nearby areas. On January 17, after a 30-hour pursuit, police detained the individual believed to be responsible for the attack. He was taken to the Bandra police station for questioning.
