Kejriwal's Residence Spending Sparks Controversy Amid BJP's Criticism

Political tensions in Delhi have intensified as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accuses the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of splurging taxpayer money on lavish upgrades at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's official residence. Allegations surfaced after the BJP highlighted an alleged inventory that lists costly gadgets and extravagant furnishings in Kejriwal's now-vacated residence, claiming the government spent millions on high-end items, including luxury fittings for toilets.

The controversy comes as Atishi, a senior leader of AAP, prepares to move into the bungalow. While the BJP continues to press for answers, accusing the AAP of prioritizing luxury over public welfare, Atishi has defended her party, insisting that the funds were appropriately allocated for necessary upgrades and that such accusations are politically motivated.

The BJP’s allegations, which have gained traction on social media, include claims of wasteful expenditure during a time when public resources are being stretched to meet essential needs. Despite the strong criticism, the AAP has stood firm, arguing that its focus remains on serving the people of Delhi. The party dismissed the allegations as part of a broader political strategy by the BJP to undermine its governance in Delhi.
