The Indian High Commission condemned the disruptions, describing them as part of a broader effort to undermine essential consular services, particularly for individuals seeking life certificates—a critical document for Indian pension beneficiaries residing in Canada. Beyond the Brampton incident, attempts to disrupt similar camps in Vancouver and Surrey were reported over the weekend, adding to the tension. Nonetheless, over a thousand life certificates were processed successfully across these events, as confirmed by Indian officials.
