BJP suggests INDIA bloc may rotate LoP role amid Rahul Gandhi performance concerns

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has speculated that the opposition INDIA bloc might consider rotating the role of Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha. According to statements from BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj, discussions have emerged within the alliance about replacing Rahul Gandhi if his performance does not meet expectations. The BJP's remarks come amidst broader debates on opposition strategy ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Bansuri Swaraj emphasized that this remains an internal matter for the opposition, suggesting that the INDIA alliance has several leaders capable of taking on the role if they choose to move away from Gandhi. Currently, Gandhi holds the LoP position as the Congress Party is the largest opposition group in the Lok Sabha.
