Ex-Ministers Detained Amid Bangladesh Turmoil

Bangladesh’s former foreign minister Hassan Mahmud and ex-state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak were detained at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport while attempting to flee the country. This occurred following Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation amid violent protests against her administration. Mahmud was apprehended trying to board a flight to Delhi, having previously failed to cross the border into India. Palak was handed over to the Air Force. Other top officials, including Awami League's Obaidul Quader, have also fled, deepening the political crisis .
