As the 20th Army Chief from 2000 to 2002, General Padmanabhan led the army during the intense Indo-Pak standoff following the 2001 Parliament attack. His career, spanning over four decades, was marked by numerous accolades, including the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal for his contributions to national defense.
